Reinsvangen – Gjendeosen
The shuttle bus takes you easily, safely, and quickly from the parking lot at Reinsvangen to Gjendeosen.
When you’re planning to take the Gjendeboat or go for a hike from Gjendeosen as a starting point, you have to park at Reinsvangen – a short distance away from Gjendeosen. A dedicated shuttle bus drives continuously from Reinsvangen, providing quick and easy transportation to and from Gjendeosen. There are no long-term parking at Gjendeosen – only a maximum of 2 hours parking.
Practical information about the shuttle bus:
- The shuttle bus runs continuously from the parking lot in the morning – starting one hour before boat departure, with returns from Gjendeosen to Reinsvangen every 30 minutes from 3 p.m.
- When you’re planning to take the Gjendeboat, please meet up well in advance, as there are others besides you taking the boat. During high season, we recommend arriving approximately 1 hour before your departure with the Gjendeboat. We are not responsible if you arrive late for the boat at our parking lot – everyone must park at Reinsvangen regardless.
- The shuttle bus returns from Gjendeosen to Reinsvangen every 30 minutes from 3 p.m. The last bus leaves at 8 p.m.
- You can purchase a parking-/bus-package here (link directly to the parking payment page), or separately when you arrive at Reinsvangen.
- Everyone who arrives at Reinsvangen needs to show their ticket to our parking attendants, both for parking and the bus, before leaving the area.
